We write a lot on this blog about the emotional side of selling a home. About patience, and listening, and not rushing people into decisions before they’re ready.
Today we want to pull back the curtain a little and tell you why we mean it.
Between the two of us, we’ve spent more than a decade working alongside seniors and families in Southern Alberta — not just in real estate, but through Aimee’s senior home care business, where we walked alongside people during some of the most tender and difficult transitions imaginable. We helped people sort through possessions. We sat with families when the weight of a decision was almost too much. We learned what it feels like to be trusted with something that matters.
That shapes everything about how we approach this work.
We also know, from our own lives, that big transitions are complicated. That what looks simple from the outside can feel enormous from the inside. That sometimes the most helpful thing another person can do is simply be present, be patient, and not make you feel foolish for taking your time.
We are not the REALTORS® who want to get you listed fast and move on to the next client. We are the REALTORS® who will still be answering your texts two weeks after closing to help you figure out who to call about the garage door.
And we are the real estate agents who genuinely feel privileged when a family lets us be part of one of the biggest chapters of their lives.
If that’s the kind of experience you’re looking for — we’d love to be that for you.
